With the start of September comes the start of school. Jubilation overcomes parents. Mixed emotions hit the kids. Cranky to actually wake up to go to classes, but excited to see their friends more consistently. Things slow down a little here at Cape Cod Toy Chest. We may get cranky too because we DON’T see our friends consistently. We had another terrific Summer, so we are grateful for the old friends who came again and the new friends that we made. The kind words that were shared with us throughout the Summer were heartwarming. The fact that we are already becoming a Cape Cod family tradition is absolutely amazing to us. We are continuously striving to get better though. With a few upgrades to the showroom already this year, there are more improvements hopefully to come. For the immediate future we are going to focus on our product offerings. We have several items currently in store that are nominated for Toy Of The Year in their respective categories. Some of these items include: Heroes of Goo Jit Zu, Bitzee, Pokemon, Lego, Barbie, Magic Mixies, 5 Second Rule, Shashibo, and more! Toy Of The Year will be announced in a few weeks at New York Toy Fair September 29th.
And that brings us to our next topic of discussion: Our Hours…
We will be attending New York Toy Fair to scope out some things that we don’t have in the store yet. So the store will be closed Friday 9/29 thru Tuesday 10/3 while we’re there. Upon return we will be open Wednesday 10/4 at 10:30am.
Prior to our departure for Toy Fair, September hours will remain 10am-6pm everyday, with a couple exceptions. Sunday 9/17 opening will remain at 10am, but closing will be at 5pm. Monday 9/25 opening will be delayed until 11am, but closing will remain at 6pm. Then Friday 9/29-Tuesday 10/3 we will be completely closed. Always make sure to check our Facebook or Instagram for any last minute schedule changes and we will make sure to do our best to keep everyone up to date and informed of store changes. Your continued support this month and into the Fall is much desired and we’ll aim to impress you every visit!
