New Season, New Hours

As all of us from the Cape know, things start to slow down a little bit after Labor Day. With the change in seasons, some business alter their hours tad. Cape Cod Toy Chest is making a little change too, but just for a couple months. After New Years Day, hours will only be Fridays through Sundays for January through March.

Our new hours will look like this:

Fridays – 11am-5pm

Saturdays – 10am-5pm

Sundays – 12pm-5pm

Closed Monday – Thursday (also closed Friday 1/29-Sunday 1/31)

We do continue to offer Curbside Creativity, so give us a call 508-593-TOYZ (8699) during open hours to take advantage of that service if you’re uncomfortable coming inside or are just in a rush and want to have items waiting for you when you arrive.

We also will be accepting appointments for private shopping times outside of normal business hours throughout the winter. So if you’re a working parent and can’t make it in while the doors are open, we’ll flex to your schedule. More details about “Privateer Shopping Appointments” are available in another web posting.

Thank you all for your support during 2020. We appreciate you shopping local and shopping small. Your continued support is what will make us great for you and the youth community of Cape Cod.

Stealing The Scene

Recently Cape Cod Toy Chest was announced as the winner of Best Toy Store on the Mid-Cape by Cape Cod Life Publications.  We couldn’t be more proud of how our first year has gone. If you’ve been here for a visit, you’d understand how hard we work to make an enjoyable and creative environment. If you haven’t been in, start planning your trip.

The other thing that makes our store so great is you, the guests! We love interacting with you and talking about toys, family, and fun! Some of our guests have proven to be VERY creative. Art comes in many different forms and we like to see it all. We encourage all of our guests to explore their artistic side and then to show us their creations.

Here are some creations from a talented young man, Steven, who photographs Funko Pops. If you want to see more of what Steven creates, you can follow him on Instagram (@the_o.n). We look forward to more of his photos. You can submit any type of artwork you like as well for a chance to be featured online and in store. Either email us at, or message us on Facebook, or just come on by the store.

Phase 2 Opening Plans

Starting June 8th retail stores are allowed to have guests inside again!

There are a lot of health and safety measures that are required and Cape Cod Toy Chest will meet and exceed these requirements so that all of our guests and staff members remain safe and comfortable moving forward.

Some of the requirements laid out by Governor Baker and his staff include:

  • Face coverings are required when social distancing isn’t possible (with our small store, social distancing is difficult, so please have a face covering)
  • Routine cleaning established
  • Hand washing station and/or sanitizer available to guests and staff
  • Foot traffic pattern for entrance and exit and at checkout (follow our blue markers)
  • Limit store capacity (we can only have 16 people inside including staff)

Those a just a few, there are many more that we must follow and will gladly do so for everyone to stay healthy and safe. We are so excited to be entering our second Summer season with you and hope to see you soon!

Phase 1 Reopening Plans

From Memorial Day until June 14th, customers are not allowed inside retail establishments. However curbside and remote shopping are allowed. So please check out our Product Gallery tab and Facebook page or just give us a call for item availability. We’re here to help you get the creative entertainment that you deserve.
